Account Deletion Options
You have two ways to delete your MzansiFix account and all associated data:
🎯 Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
Fastest and easiest method - Delete your account directly from the app.
- Open the MzansiFix app on your device
- Tap the ☰ menu icon (hamburger menu) in the top-left corner
- Select "Account Settings" from the menu
- Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately
📧 Option 2: Email Request
For users who can't access the app or need assistance.
- Send an email to: info@kalaharicoding.co.za
- Use the subject line: "Delete My Account"
- Include in your email:
- The email address associated with your account
- Your account type (User or Tradesperson)
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- We will process your request within 7 business days
- You'll receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
Important: What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Profile Information: Name, email, phone number, profile picture
- Account Credentials: Login information and authentication data
- Reviews & Ratings: All reviews you've written or received
- Messages: All conversation history and messages
- Business Listings: (For tradespeople) Your service listings and business information
- Favorites: Your saved tradespeople lists
- Usage Data: Analytics and activity logs
⚠️ This action cannot be undone. All data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
Data Retention Policy
Immediate Deletion: Most of your data is deleted instantly when you delete your account through the app or within 7 days via email request.
Backup Retention: Due to technical backup systems, some data may remain in our backup systems for up to 30 days before being automatically purged.
Legal Requirements: In rare cases, we may be required to retain certain data for legal, regulatory, or security purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Before You Delete
Consider these alternatives before permanently deleting your account:
- Take a Break: Simply log out and take time away from the app
- Update Privacy Settings: Control what data is shared in Account Settings
- Contact Support: If you're having issues, we're here to help resolve them
